LAS VEGAS – Sept. 19, 2022 – PRLog — Michael Bennett, filmmaker and screenwriter of Destination Unknown, will be heading to the American Film Market (AFM) festival in Santa Monica, Calif., to meet and reach a deal with a co-producer or director to develop his screenplay for theatrical or cable television release. AFM runs from Nov. 1-6, 2022.
Destination Unknown centers on a traumatized 17-year-old volunteer in World War II who escapes the clutches of the Klan only to find an equally insidious foe within that threatens to thwart his segregated battalion’s critical D-Day mission. It’s MEN OF HONOR meets RED TAILS.
Destination Unknown was recently selected as a quarter finalist in the Big Apple Festival, a semifinalist at the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards and a Second Round recipient at the Austin Film Festival. Bennett’s screenplay was selected out of thousands of entries in all three of the competitions.
